Justin and Tate met via Bumble, a dating app and not long after met in person.

7/13/2022

Justin and Tate went on their first date in Ames at Perfect Games. They went mini golfing while using that time to get to know the basics about one another, and of course play a competitive game of golf that Tate obviously won. After the game was over, both Justin and Tate decided they wanted to spend more time together. They decided to grab drinks at West Town Pub and this is where they started to really get to know about each other's families, hobbies, etc. The date went really well and both Justin and Tate hoped for another date in the near future.

8/9/2022

Justin asked Tate to be his girlfriend outside of Radcliffe near his childhood home. He waited for the perfect night when the sunset was just right to ask her. She of course said yes.

8/2022 - 8/2023

Tate and Justin spent their first year together going on lots of dates, spending time with each other's families, and going on a few adventures (including our first NFL game in Minneapolis, visiting Tate's sister in Denver [Justin's first flight], and exploring Kansas City with friends).

9/16/2023

After acquiring Tate's parent's blessing, Justin popped the question on a cold autumn night in the same special place they became a couple. Justin had created a very organized plan in order to make sure Tate wouldn't see the proposal coming by recreating their first date that same day. After not receiving any proposal during that memorable date, Tate's hopes of becoming engaged that day quickly faded, making the actual event later that evening that much more shocking and unexpected. While tears filled Tate's eyes, Justin proclaimed the words, "This is where I asked you to be my girlfriend, and now it's where I'm asking you to be my wife. Will you marry me?"
