Back in 2016 Tate and Gracie both worked at T Bar M Camps, but at different locations. They met a few times, and had a lot of mutual friends, but rarely crossed paths. Tate admits that he had a crush on Gracie, but being at separate camps made it hard to act on.

Tate went off to Texas A&M (whoop) and Gracie went off to Oklahoma State (go pokes), which caused them to lose touch.

The Lord had a lot of work to do on them separately before bringing them together.

Sub Plot Line: Gracie kind of knew Tate always had interest in her so when she would visit friends down in College Station she would text him that she was in town, knowing he would ask to hang out. Gracie swerved hanging out every single time. Twenty year old Gracie just being super silly and confusing. Probably just liked the attention. LOL

They both move forward with their lives and didn't really think of each other again.... until.....Summer 2023!

In Summer 2023, Gracie came across Tate's Instagram and decided to follow him. (For some reason they weren't following each other anymore) Tate followed back and instantly messaged her asking how she was doing. They had a conversation over the course of a couple of days. Tate eventually asked her out on a date and they went to Sixty Vines in Dallas. (Fun fact: Gracie was an hour late.) Tate claims he knew he was going to marry her after the first date.

Since Gracie was living in Dallas and Tate in Houston, they had to date long distance. It was hard, but they were willing and wanting to make it work. Being with each other was so easy that time flew by. Two months in they began to talk about marriage. They were very vocal about the importance of their walk with Christ and that they both wanted to marry someone who encouraged and challenged them. They both felt ready to marry and take that next step.

Six months later, Tate asked Gracie to marry him!

When you know you know. When it makes sense it makes sense. God's timing is perfect and all His promises are yes and amen!
