Where do we start?Tatiana and Matthew connected through the Bumble online dating app, where they matched. On this app, each match lasts only twenty-four hours, so the woman has to make the first move before the time runs out. In Tatiana's story, she shares that the app unexpectedly sent a message to Matt on its own. After this happened, Matthew responded, leaving Tatiana curious about why. As both of us like to say, this really felt like a God thing.Our first date was on January 24th, 2025, at a speakeasy in Omaha, and at other bars, and our last stop that night was where the true connection took place.We went on another 3-4 more dates before things were made official. Our relationship became official on Valentine's Day, and, as we have often said throughout this journey and our story, God has been and remains at the center of our relationship. We value our faith and God in our relationship.On Saturday, November 8th, in Kansas City, Matt proposed to Tatiana.That day was a special day for both of us. Matt had the help of his mom, Danielle, and his aunt, Donita, in setting up the proposal spot with decorations. Additionally, they received help from their friends, Mike and Jael Coffey, who captured the big moment with many photos. However, the night was not over yet. Matthew and Tatiana went out to dinner and jazz, then decided to return to the Airbnb where they were staying in Kansas City that weekend.As we opened the doors of our Airbnb, friends and family of Matthew and Tatiana were there to surprise us both on the meaningful engagement. It was a joyful evening with loved ones. This wouldn’t be possible without the special friends and family who surround us.The story doesn’t end there, friends and family, our story is still being written, and we hope to see you all on our special day on Saturday, April 18th, at First UMC-Lincoln and Junto Winery and Vineyard.
