Where do I begin.... Well first of all this story is told from the mans side, not that hearing it from her would be great and all, I just feel that the story is better from this perspective! Learning life lessons the hardest way I struggled growing up in a small town in New Jersey called Belvidere. Meanwhile my future half had been completing her journey from her homeland of Ecuador to the United States of America not ever knowing that true love would bring us together. I was building a business from scratch in my attic when an opportunity arose to start a new business with a partner in New Brunswick New Jersey and I packed my bags and moved on out of Belvidere. The first meeting I had in New Brunswick with the New Business Partner I was greeted at the entrance by a I will keep it PG13 smoking hot bombshell Spanish mammasita that had my palms sweating. I had a few more meetings with the partner before deciding to start a business together in his building in New Brunswick where I would live in the facility and run the business. Every day this beautiful Spanish woman would walk by the windows in the shop who at the time was working for the partners family business. Like a moth to the light I was drawn to her beautiful smile, the way she dressed, and everything about her that was mysteriously attracting to me. Time passed as I would throw my casual flirtatious attempts at starting some kind of spark between us like, flowers and cake on her birthday, pizza from dominos for lunch and just letting her know I saw her. The partner and his father would constantly egg me on to ask her out but trying to be professional about the opportunity I didnt want to ruin possible future business together, plus honestly I knew I had no chance with this woman. Lets just say I needed a ride to the Quick Check which was about 2 miles down the road after working one night and I decided to ask her. She said sure jump in and I thought, wow, this is my chance to say something and shes actually bringing me there! I was quiet, nervous and when we got to the quick check I got out of the car and she said, Ok, I got to go now because my dad is asking me to come home. Yes. Thats right, I walked the two miles back to work.... I thought to myself, well damn... Time passed and we had exchanged phone numbers and we went on our first date! Liberty State Park, this park borders New York City and is located right next to the Statue of Liberty! It was amazing! We spent the time walking, talking and eventually talking in her car in the parking lot until the park police told us to leave! I was super excited and I can tell she was excited too! I just had to tell my partners would I did that night! I mean they were telling me to do this! When I had told them what I was up to, Instantly it went south! I was screamed at and told to leave, then begged to come back, but I was super confused because I was told to take her out. After this the time spent together only grew and I had fallen in Love with Tatiana. I was introduced to her family, which let me tell you something. Spanish fathers are very protective of their daughters, especially dating a white gringo like me! Well, you know what. I made it passed the test! The partner of the business started acting weird towards Tatiana and was definitely not someone I would grow a business together with. Tatiana had told me that she was going to take an exam to become a Police Officer and if she passed she was leaving her job. I told her when you pass that exam I will leave with you. She Passed. We left together and I started my business again in her parents garage. We spent every day together growing our love for each other as we both pursued our dreams. I grew out of the garage into a successful business in a year and she became a Police Officer. I was part of her family and her family had treated me like a son. I was so excited to take the next step, not only because her father made me sleep on the couch and not in her room but because I was madly in love with her. Well lets just say when I asked her to marry me I had to do it the right way and ask her father. Ex military, “drinking the blood of dogs” in Ecuador and whatever folk stories he would tell had me shaking in my boots to ask him for his daughter’s hand in marriage. Well I did, I told him I had to talk to him about something and I think he knew. He took me on a 2 hour car ride and thats when I did it. I asked him and he said yes, If you love my daughter and will take care of her then I approve. SHE SAID YES! Shortly after Tatiana said yes we were so happy to start our lives together. Knowing together meant Tatiana, Me and who would come to be known as TAGE! We welcomed Tage Harris Boes into the world on January 3rd 2021 and we all moved into our own place! We spend our days enjoying things like our motorcycles, trips around the world and exploring our passions with things like customizing our Jeeps and Cars! When I say God has a plan for everybody, love will find you when you least expect it or we truly do have a soulmate out there, I mean it. I never thought my life would turn out the way it did and thats because my journey has been guided. Meeting Tatiana was God’s plan for me from the start. She saved me, brought me happiness in life and is now continuing the legacy with me!
