How We Met

It all started back in 8th grade at Hale Middle School, sometime in 2010 or 2011. Honestly, we can’t even remember the exact year but all we know is something sparked. Even after middle school, we stayed in touch over the year as life took us in different directions, but we always found a way back to each other.

Reconnecting During the Pandemic

Fast forward to 2020: after both graduating college, we reconnected in the middle of the COVID-19 lockdown. While the world was telling us to stay six feet apart, we were doing the exact opposite by spending late nights messaging each other, getting to know one another all over again. As things started to open up a little, we took long walks around our neighborhoods and shared quiet moments that would later turn into something beautiful.

The First “Date”

Then came May 29, 2020. Chris took Tati to Topanga Canyon View, where the stunning sunset lit up the sky like something out of a dream. It was there, at the top of the world (or at least the canyon), that Chris asked Tati to take the first step into something bigger—"Will you go out with me?" And from that moment, our dates were full of sunsets, hikes, new food spots, amusement parks, and the simplest joys of just being together.

Building a Life Together

As we spent more time together, we learned about each other’s families, made new memories, and even created our own little traditions. Birthdays and holidays started being celebrated side by side and our puppy Bronxy. And between the movie nights, puzzles, and heated scrabble games, we discovered what truly mattered: being with one another, no matter what we were doing.

The Proposal

Then came February 8, 2025 (Super Bowl weekend). We were hiking through the rocky paths of Joshua Tree with our dear friend, Kirsten. Little did Tati know that a proposal was about to take place. Chris had scouted the perfect spot—Heart Rock—and rushed ahead to secure it. Tati and Kirsten, however, were taking their sweet time looking at… well, rocks. When Tati finally reached Heart Rock, Chris was ready, and he asked the question that would change everything: "Will you marry me?" Of course, Tati said yes. And just like that, we were officially on the path to forever.

Our Wedding Vision

Now, here we are, planning a wedding that feels as personal and meaningful as the journey we’ve shared. Our goal is simple: to bring together our families, our closest friends (who feel like family), to eat delicious food, dance to good music, enjoy fantastic drinks, and, of course, have plenty of leftovers for Saturday.

We can’t wait to share this special day with all of you, and we’re so excited for the new memories and traditions we’ll create as we begin this next chapter of our story.
