Our journey began at the University of South Dakota, where Trevor and I crossed paths through mutual friends. On our first encounter, Trevor walked me home and shook my hand goodnight without asking for any of my contact information. Disappointment lingered until a few days later when a message from him pleasantly surprised me. Soon after, our dating journey began.


Two years into our relationship, Trevor graduated and relocated to Sioux Falls. Despite the demands of his new job, he made a point to visit almost every weekend until my graduation from USD.


Following my graduation, Trevor and I embarked on a new chapter, sharing an apartment in Sioux Falls. When I expressed my desire for a dog to celebrate completing nursing school, Trevor initially resisted. Fortunately, the women in Trevor’s family sided with me, and soon enough, we welcomed our little pup, Millie.


A year later, Trevor received a job offer in Rapid City, fulfilling my dream of returning home to be with family. Trevor and I eagerly anticipate finding our own place and then tying the knot as we embark on the next phase of our lives.
