It was the Sunday before Labor Day in September 2020. Taylor had been boating with her girlfriends and a few of their guy friends. Later on that evening they continued the evening together and had a BBQ at a friends house. Zack had spent the weekend ranchin', his favorite thing to do with his friend Jordan. They didn't make it back in time to go boating, but they did make the tail end of the BBQ. However, when he got there Taylor was heading home, so they quickly introduced themselves to one another and Taylor went home. Later on that week they had followed one another on Instagram as well saw one another at a friends house again getting to visit a little more.

A few weeks had passed since their second encounter and Zack had shared a story from a friend wishing him a happy birthday. Taylor being the gal that she is, responded to his story wishing him a Happy Birthday herself. Zack immediately thanked her and told her "Hey we're going to Western Collective tonight, you should come." So that she did. And from there they exchanged numbers and continued talking. Going on their first date the following week at Tupelo Honey for drinks. And they've been together ever since.
