QUESTION: I am from out of state. How do I get to Stanley, Idaho?

ANSWER: Book your flight and get a rental car! Red Fish Lake is ~3 hours from Boise. It is a scenic drive into the remote mountains. Fuel up and get snacks before you leave the Boise area!

QUESTION: What is there to do in the area if we decide to make a vacation of it?

ANSWER: Idaho is an outdoor paradise. Boise: If you want to stay in Boise for a night, it is the capital of Idaho and has plenty to offer! For an evening in Boise, we recommend a walk through freak alley for epic street art and a drink at Prost for a classic German alehouse experience. For dinner, enjoy the food of the area with a stop at St. Lawrence Grid Iron (for mountain west inspired cooking), the Basque markets on 6th and Grove, or the Fork or Bardenay for a (slightly) upscale dinner with local food. Stanley: Outdoor activities abound! Hiking, fishing, camping, and lazing on the beach. Enjoy the fresh air and the scenery. For those looking for a more up-scale experience, Sun Valley is ~1.5 hours away from Stanley and has nice resorts.

QUESTION: What should I wear?

ANSWER: Please look nice, but this is not a black tie event by any means. Dress code is Mountain Chic - think dressy clothes but with earthen tones. Wear a suit/dress if you want, but no need for a tuxedo or gown. Wear comfortable shoes for dancing and walking around a mountain campground.

QUESTION: HOW FANCY IS THIS EVENT?

ANSWER: We are planning a nice but chill wedding. We want folks to be comfortable and have a good time! Be yourself and enjoy - just look nice doing it!

Question: Can I Bring My Kids?

ANSWER: We strongly encourage folks to get a babysitter for kids 10 and under. We will not have kid-centered events or activities and there will be alcohol. Use your judgement if your little one can sit still through a ceremony!

QUESTION: What gift should I bring?

ANSWER: We are strongly encouraging gifts in the form of financial contributions on the registry. We do not have much space in our ~600 square foot 1 bedroom NYC Apartment. We are also personally subsidizing travel for some of our close friends who otherwise may have been unable to make it. Your donations help make our event special and bring the people we love. (It will also help make our honeymoon sick too).

Question: When does the wedding actually start?

ANSWER: The ceremony WILL start at 3:00 PM. We encourage folks to arrive early as to not disturb the ceremony with late attendance. The area is beautiful, so there is plenty of exploring to do if you arrive early.
