His Story

Taylor and I grew up over 8 hours away from each other, but we met in college at Cedarville. How cool that God brought us together at Cedarville! I'm so thankful.

Taylor and I were actually both Civil Engineering majors so and although we didn't have many major specific classes till Junior year, we met freshman year. I remember first semester having The Engineering Profession together, and I thought she was really cute. Second semester I remember trying to sit with her and her friends in Physics class. She also worked at Chick-fil-A on campus that first year and I would hope that she would be the one to get my order.

I didn't want to date freshman year and although she caught me eye, I didn't really know Taylor at all. But once we got into more major specific classes--sophomore and particularly Junior year--we spent a lot more time together and I began to get to know Taylor. I admired her diligence and excellence--anyone who knows the Beigles know that they glorify God with their wholehearted effort in whatever they do. But I also saw her compassionate heart towards others and a real desire to follow Jesus. And she was cute! And I detected that she might be interested in me! So I asked her out fall semester Junior year and she said yes! And here we are many months after that and she said yes to marrying me. How crazy is that?

As we've grown closer over our 2 years of being together I've seen more and more the wonderful person God is shaping Taylor to be. She is kind and caring, with a servant heart, and it comes from her thankfulness for all that Jesus has done in her life. She is bright and brilliant and loves to learn. She is thoughtful and seeks to intentionally love people in specific ways. Her loyalty to her family and friends, and her diligence in everything is inspiring to me. That word sums up a lot of what I think of Taylor - she is my inspiration. And one other things I'll say, which is what I told her parent's when I asked for their permission to marry her - Taylor is steady. No matter the situation or circumstance, she is the same. I'm actually the more volatile and moody person between the two of us. Which is part of why I appreciate her so much. I can always count on her.

To wrap up, being engaged over distance has been hard. But there is still so much good. God is using this time to grow our relationship with him and each other. And the distance now will make our wedding that much sweeter.

Her Story

I remember meeting Andrew for the first time in a physics class in 2021, the spring semester of our freshman year at Cedarville. I was sitting with a group of friends near the front of the classroom and he came up with one of his friends and asked to sit near us. When he introduced himself, he mentioned he was also a civil engineering major and sure enough we had quite a few classes together that semester (and for the rest of our time at Cedarville). I thought he was cute and was very glad to have met someone in the same major, but we didn’t get to know each other much that first year.

By God’s organization, Andrew and I ended up going to the same church all four years at Cedarville and my roommate and I would catch a ride with some of his friends. After church we would all head to the dining hall and grab lunch. Through that time I began to learn more about this fellow civil engineer. I learned that he rode a skateboard and played the drums, but I also discovered how much he loved the Lord and his devotion and intentionality towards friends and family. His friend group and band were rather notorious on campus (in a good way) and I began to see Andrew around more frequently.

After a number of group projects, a ski trip, and many conversations together, he asked me out on a date in October of 2022. We went to a local coffee shop and the rest is history.

On July 26, 2024, Andrew took me to a beach near my home and proposed (and I said yes!). God has brought us a long way from when we first met, and he has used our relationship to remind us of his goodness and faithfulness many times since. I am beyond grateful to be able to spend the rest of my life loving Andrew and glorifying our Savior together!
