How We Got Engaged

We had been planning on staying at a family home in Middletown, RI for a long weekend in July. Greg asked if we could bring our beloved first born, Bruno, for a walk on the beach. Knowing it was the summer season, Taylor was not sure if and when dogs were allowed on the beach. Knowing Greg has been wanting to see Bruno play in the sand, she proceeded to research, and found dogs were allowed on Second Beach from 5:30 am-7:30 am. Greg had already figured this out, and Taylor played right into his sunrise walk on the beach plan without any suspicion.

Saturday, July 24th 2021 Greg woke Taylor up at 5 am (while he had been sleepless almost all night.) Taylor casually rolled out of bed, and he could tell she had absolutely no idea what was about to come.

The beach was almost empty, as the sun was coming up making it feel like a dream; before it actually became a dream come true. As we walked down the beach, Greg commanded Bruno to sit and asked Taylor:
What's on Bruno's collar?
Still, Taylor remained clueless and looked at the dog tag on his collar that read, “Mumma will you marry Daddy?” (She never says no to the dog, as Greg says.)

Shocked, Taylor looked at Greg as he got down on one knee and asked Taylor to marry him. Of course, she said YES! After we had our special moment, Greg told Taylor to turn around and smile at the camera. The other couple on the beach was the photographer with her husband in disguise.

These moments will forever be cherished, and we are so grateful to share them with our loved ones.
