It all started in 2019 at our best friends’ wedding. Ed had the honor of walking Taylor down the aisle, but at the time, Taylor just thought he was a cute “frat bro” — too much of one, in fact. She was in another relationship, so there wasn’t much to it. But looking back now, they like to joke that they were just practicing for their own turn down the aisle. Fast forward to September 2021, when Ed came to the rescue to help their friend Ryan move cross-country to Fort Lauderdale. Taylor was single, and let’s just say she she was ready to get re-acquainted with Ed that weekend. After a day filled with Miller Lites, helping Ryan and Sara move into storage, and belting out "Dicked Down in Dallas" on repeat, things took an unexpected turn. The two shared their first kiss, spent the evening dancing through the streets of Fort Lauderdale Beach, and ended up watching Shrek in the wee hours of the morning. But life, distance, and other things got in the way, and their story didn’t quite start there.

How We Met

Then, in May 2022, fate stepped in. Taylor, once again single and feeling a bit bold, sent a drunken text to Ed: “I hear you’re single too!” It just so happened that Ed would soon be headed down to Miami for a bachelor party, and the timing was perfect. They met up, and it was on this trip that Taylor started to realize maybe there was more to this “frat boy” than she thought. What started as fun and flirtation quickly turned into something real. Even though they were miles apart, they knew distance wouldn’t stop them from exploring a real relationship together.

The Spark Rekindled

After a year of long-distance, plane rides, and visits back and forth, Taylor made the big decision to pick up and move to be with Ed — her “Cultured Cowboy.” It didn’t take long for Ed to realize he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, and just over a year later, he proposed. And while Taylor didn’t make it easy for him (as she likes to remind him!), Ed knew that she was the one. Now, after all the twists and turns life has thrown their way — from trips together, Taylor taking over an entire room as her “closet,” to adding a new puppy to their already chaotic furry family — they’re beyond excited to start this next chapter together… down the aisle, for real this time!
