Our Story

Taylor's Version

When I first tried my hand at dating apps in 2022, I was skeptical about meeting someone decent online. I was lucky enough to go on only a couple dates before I found Ethan's profile. We matched on Bumble and of course I had to ask around about him before our first date. To my surprise, we went on our first date in July 2022 and there was an immediate connection. We planned bowling and dinner at Cheddar's. We had such a great time, we decided we didn't want the date to end quite yet and decided to go to Myriad. The date ended when I took him back to his car and got a fist bump.

Skipping ahead, we had many great dates after that and talked almost every night on the phone. We each felt very comfortable around each other and knew this was leading somewhere good. It was easy to be around him and everything clicked into place like we'd known each other our whole lives.

I always knew there was someone out there for me who was thoughtful and kind, and I didn't have to question whether I was important to them. Ethan shows this to me everyday and I am so thankful we met on Bumble. Now we've traveled to Colorado, Alaska, and even went skydiving!

I always wanted to be apart of someone's family who was close and got together often. So I knew when Ethan said he was close to his family, it was meant to be. I am so grateful to be joining a family so great as his.

Ethan's Version

I remember we texted for a little bit over bumble (the dating app) and it was hard to set up a date with her. She was a very busy person, but eventually she agreed. We planned to meet at AMF bowling lanes, I had suggested we go bowling for the first date. My thought was that I could prove how good of a bowler I was to her, and she’d fall head over heels for me; plus assert my dominance as the man. Some foreshadowing, I won. So the day came, and I met her at the bowling alley.

I remember it was a hot day in July, the sun was bright, and I was worried I would sweat right through my clothes. Ain’t no girl gonna like a guy that is all sweaty for the first date, I thought to myself. But that thought was quickly forgotten once I saw her. I was like damn this girl got it going on! We met and greeted each other at the front entrance. We headed in after that and got into bowling and talking. Things went so smoothly as we talked about different likes and interests; all while I racked up the points on the board. Looking back now I can’t help but wonder if she was holding back…because she beats me most of time at bowling now, even on my birthday.

Anyways, we finished bowling and decided that we wanted to get some food. I thought I would drive but that was quickly vetoed by Taylor. She insisted that she would drive since I had paid for the bowling. I thought to myself, does she think I’m going to kidnap her or something. I was cool with it, so we got in and drove to Cheddars. We continued to talk and have a really good time, up until then I hadn’t thought a date could be so nice. I want to say she got some chicken pasta, and I got chicken on rice. Either way I was having a really good time and she seemed to be enjoying it as well.

After we finished dinner and thought the night was going to end, but then she suggested we go to Myriad downtown since it was still pretty early and I guess she was enjoying herself, so I jumped at the chance. Hell yeah we can go have a few beers, I said. We ended up staying kind of late talking and drinking. I remember it was dark when we left but I still wish we could of stayed longer. She ended up driving me back to my car and we made out. Haha joking, it was a little more awkward than that. I kissed her and gave her a fist bump to end the night. Luckily, she said yes to a second date. The end!
