If you know anything about Chris, you know he is persistent. We originally met in high school at the ripe old age of 15 years old, set up by mutual friend at the time. We proceeded to "date" during high school through senior year, attending many sporting events, school events, family vacations, and prom together. We both decided to go our separate ways during college, me at UT in Austin and Chris at UNT in Denton, but we remained friends over the next few years and would catch up from time to time. If you asked me back then I would say we were never getting married, but look at us now ;)

Shortly after we both graduated from college in 2019, we both had started down our respective career paths, with Chris landing his first job as a pilot for a regional airline and myself applying for medical school. He went to training in Arizona for 8 months and when he returned to Texas, we went to dinner to catch up. Everything changed after that dinner - we had both had our own experiences and had found our way back to each other. Neither of us can pinpoint exactly what drew us back to each other but we've been together ever since!

I started medical school in Fort Worth in the summer of 2020. Chris and I have been living in Fort Worth for the past 3 years, traveling whenever we can, skiing as much as possible, and enjoying time with family and friends! Our favorite activities are skiing, hiking, camping (sometimes), checking out new breweries/restaurants, traveling, playing card games, and a Saturday morning farmer's market! I still drag Chris around to root for my Longhorns as well. We have been enjoying this year preparing for me to start residency in 2024 alongside moving and starting our married life together!
