Taylor and Max went on their first date February 19th 2021, but their love story truly began almost a year before.
March 2020, just a few days before the pandemic shut down the world, Taylor and Max both swiped right on (bumble). Although they did start to text here, this time around went about as far as most dating app stories - Very little conversation without any substance. Max ended up ghosting Taylor (not surprising if you know Max, you know he is horrible with his phone). A few days went by when out of the blue, Max sent Taylor a picture from his ski trip to Montana without any context. Taylor decided it was best not to answer and they went their separate ways…
Until almost a year later in February when fate decided to give these two one more chance and have them match on a different app (tinder). This time around, Max did not let the opportunity slip away, he asked Taylor on a dinner date right away to Rare Steakhouse.
The date went well for the most part in Max’s eyes, but Taylor left the date a bit confused at how quiet Max was and his questionable style... Thinking, maybe the only things he liked were numbers and snowboarding. After a few days of thinking and talking with friends and family, Taylor decided to give Max another chance, thinking he may have just been a little nervous. They ended up going to Tommy’s Tavern, which of course came with a hour long wait, that turned out to be the perfect opportunity for them to sit, waiting in the car and to get to know each other without any distractions. Taylor quickly realized that he wasn't as quiet as she thought, although still quiet, they began to realize how much they had in common; both living very active lifestyles, spending Sundays watching football, a love for snowboarding, golf, traveling, and of course a shared love for Wildwood NJ.
Taylor’s grandparents have a house in Wildwood Crest where Taylor spends every summer of her life. Max had spent a week almost every summer of his life vacationing in Wildwood, staying at a motel just a few blocks from Taylor. They both know at one point they must have seen each other on the bike path or on the boardwalk. In their eyes, this was another coincidence that feels like it was their fate to finally meet.
After a few more dates of bowling, golfing, dinners, and walks around hoboken, Max & Taylor quickly became inseparable. They spent months driving back and forth between Hoboken & Wayne, and many weekends down the shore in Wildwood until Max decided to leave hoboken behind and find a place closer to Taylor. Fortunately for Max, he knew a great realtor (Taylor) and was able to buy a condo in Pequannock and although Taylor swore she would not move in with Max right away, as soon as the construction was done, Taylor packed her bags and moved right in along with their newly adopted puppy Willow.
Just over two years later, Max planned a day at the Winery with Taylor's family. As he walked her down the Vineyard, he got down on one knee and put a bandana on Willow that said Will you Marry My Dad? As you all know it was obvious that Max would ultimately use Willow in his proposal. It was Perfect!
