Getting There

BY SEA

The most common way to get on island is to take one of the ferries that leaves from Hyannis or New Bedford. We recommend booking roundtrip ferry tickets in Jan-March 2024, as they can sell out!

Steamship Authority

141 School St, Hyannis, MA 02601, USA

The Steamship Authority offers two types of ferry boats from Hyannis to Nantucket:

1) Passenger- only fast ferry

2) Vehicle- transport slow ferry: This is for if you wish to bring your vehicle over on the island.

We do not recommend you bring your car over unless you are extending your stay past the weekend!

Reservations are required for all ferry services, and can be reserved on the Steamship Authority website.
