The town of Meridian, CA is not a thriving metropolis by any means. We understand that this wedding may be a long travel for some, so we encourage you to make a vacation out of the week/weekend. Here are some of our favorite things to do in Northern California:
Tahoe
Lake Tahoe is beautiful in the summer and offers many outdoor activities. There are plenty of hikes to go on, trails to mountain bike, and paddle boards to rent. The scenery in Tahoe is unmatched!
San Francisco
There’s tons of cool history in the City of San Francisco. You can ride cable cars, see the golden gate, book a tour of Alcatraz, see Lombard Street, check out the pier, and so much more. Just make sure you stop by the Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory while you're there!
Marin
Wes had the privilege of living in the small community of Mill Valley for just under a year when first moving to the Bay Area. It is a beautiful town tucked away near the Muir Woods. It’s a fun (super windy) ride to Stinson Beach from Mill Valley. If you want to see the prettiest sunset you will ever see, go up to the Bolinas Ridge and hope for some low clouds.

Prairie Creek Redwoods (The Long Haul)
This is the famous trail where the proposal happened! This is one of the most beautiful places on Earth and the oldest national redwood preserve. If you start in the canyon there are trails that will take you through the mountains/redwoods and put you on Gold Bluff’s beach. Make sure to stop by Lost Coast Brewing on your way through Eureka.
