According to Taylor:

I met Stephen in 2021. I was running a creamery on a dairy farm, and Stephen was the lynchpin the dairy needed to start applying for grants.

He lived in Chattanooga, TN and I lived in Snow Camp, NC. I enjoyed working with Stephen, but always tried to keep it professional. Truth be told, I had a crush on him, but I wasn't at all interested in pursuing someone who lived out of state. It was because of this crush that I invited Stephen to a barn dance in March 2023.

I really gained confidence in our relationship through our travels together. Particularly whenever we had to back up the Airstream. Turns out we're pretty good at it :) If you really want to test your communication skills, try to park a travel trailer!!

According to Stephen:

Taylor used to work on a value-added dairy and found me online in 2021 to help them write a grant. I remember walking away from our first call thinking about her cool shovel tattoo, open laugh, and radiant smile.

I was able to make a few professional visits to the dairy a few times over the next few years, but never got to have one-on-one time with Taylor directly. The one memorable exception to this was when I shamelessly flirted with her by “showing” her some salsa dance moves in the kitchen. I could tell there was a little something there.

In early 2023, Taylor invited me to a traditional barn dance at the dairy. She knew what she was doing. All that denim.

We have been dancing ever since.
