Taylor and Steve&nbsp;met in August of 2017 at their&nbsp;mutually&nbsp;favorite&nbsp;hangout, 24 Hr Fitness. Steve was attempting to work the ever broke down treadmill, to no avail. Lucky for him, the machine next door opened up and he hopped on that one instead. Moments later, Taylor arrived at the broke down treadmill and hopped on. Much to Steve's chagrin, Taylor was quickly able to fix the machine and promptly had it working again. Being ever opportunistic, Steve struck up a conversation to understand what Taylor had done to fix the machine. One question led to another and before they knew it, over an hour had gone by chatting on the treadmill.&nbsp;&nbsp;That "first date" on the treadmill ended with a high-five and a "nice to meet you."&nbsp;Over the following days, Steve continued to think about that great conversation on the treadmill and resolved to himself to speak with her again. Several days later, Steve ran into Taylor again at their favorite hang-out spot, the gym. Working up the nerve to speak with Taylor again,&nbsp;he said hello and asked Taylor out to a hiking date. She quickly agreed and suggested he take her telephone number. However, that enthusiasm quickly came to a halt when Taylor got cold feet and called off the date. However, exactly 1 month later, after a bit of persistence,&nbsp;Taylor accepted Steve's invitation to attend a country music concert and the rest is history. They've been inseparable ever since!

How they met

Keeping true to their mutual interests, Steve decided to pop the question&nbsp;on their favorite hiking trail located in Crystal Cove State Park in Laguna Beach. After weeks of planning, strategizing, and seeking family approval--the plan was set:&nbsp;Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend would be the day. With preparations in place, the plan was set in motion to get down on one knee at a bend in the trail. As they approached the proposal spot, Taylor's suspicion was arisen when she noticed a white table cloth in the middle of the trail ahead and she says aloud "I&nbsp;wonder who died?!" Little did she know, that no one died, instead, Steve was about to propose.&nbsp; Steve, feeling nervous and not knowing what to say to Taylor's question, just played dumb and responded with "what are you talking about?" Knowing his cover was blown, Steve picked up the pace towards the designated spot. As they got closer Taylor then noticed that there was a photographer lurking in the nearby bushes. Still, Taylor had not yet put together the pieces of what was happening. As they arrived at the proposal location&nbsp;it took&nbsp;some encouragement from Steve for Taylor&nbsp;to closely&nbsp;look at the pictures sitting on the table, it finally began to dawn on her&nbsp;just what was happening. Steve got down on one knee, with the Pacific Ocean in the background, and asked the love of his life if she'd be willing to marry him. And Taylor said YES! The couple spent the next 15 minutes taking photographs together, and of the ring, as well as toasting to their future together. They then began to head back down the hill towards the car but the surprises weren't over. The couple quickly changed clothes and&nbsp;headed&nbsp;out to brunch. However, this wasn't brunch for just the two of them:&nbsp;Steve had arranged to have many members of both his family and Taylor's family waiting on The Deck in Laguna Beach. The look on Taylor's face was priceless as both families congratulated the newly engaged couple with a surprise. Everyone spent the rest of the day enjoying the beach, food, and drinks at the Pacific&nbsp;Edge hotel and beginning the plans for the upcoming wedding in Italy.&nbsp;

The proposal

As you all know, we originally planned to be married in Italy but plans have had to change due to Coronavirus. Sometimes things work out just the way they are supposed to. So instead of going to Italy, our hopes are to bring a little bit of Italy to you. We cannot wait to celebrate with all of you! Saluti&nbsp;
