Taylor and Tyler met on the beach in 2020 through a group of mutual friends. For the next year they would always bump into each other around Fort Lauderdale, but it was never the right time. In September of 2021, Taylor had a 4 pack of concert tickets to see Sam Hunt with her best friends Mary and Taylor, and Taylor's husband David. When Mary was called into work last minute, Taylor was left scrambling to find someone to go in Mary's place. Taylor's friends suggested that she invite Tyler, so that's just what she did. To her surprise, Tyler said YES! That night, it was evident that Taylor and Tyler were into each other. The next few months they rarely spent any time apart. They enjoyed traveling together and Tyler even took her camping in the van! The true test came when Tyler invited Taylor to his family's remote cabin in Maine. After watching her interact with his family and friends in his favorite place, Tyler knew that she was the one! Fast forward a few happy months... Taylor moved in with Tyler after Maine. They hosted their first Halloween and Christmas parties together, spent time with both families for the holidays, and shared a very memorable New Year's. Tyler decided to wait no longer. He devised a plan to make her his bride in January of 2023. He "popped the question" in the beautiful Japanese Garden, Morikami, in Delray Beach. This was followed by a surprise engagement party with all of their closest friends and family at Bokampers Sports Bar. It was a truly special day that they will cherish forever!

The pier is a great place to visit, centrally located right next to the venue, and designated hotel. There are many restaurants in the immediate area and a linear park that spans along this portion of Pompano Beach.

Pompano Beach Fisher Family Pier

This is a free shuttle that takes you around Pompano Beach! Just download the Circuit app and start riding. It is just like Uber or Lyft but free (tips encouraged), and it is a golf cart!

Pompano Beach Circuit

This is a great lunch spot right on the beach, and next to the pier. Enjoy great food drinks and music. This is where the welcome party will be.

5 miles south (15 min drive down the road), Lauderdale by the Sea offers many activities. While the Anglin' Family Pier was damaged in previous hurricanes and blocked off, the downtown boasts a walkable pavilion with Adirondacks and umbrellas, restaurants, boutique cafes, bars, hotels, a quieter beach, and shopping plaza. Lauderdale by the Sea also has the free Circuit service, and you can use the same app as Pompano Beach circuit.

This park is located at the Hillsboro Inlet, with views of the Hillsboro Light House and the ocean. It is a great place to relax and take in the ocean breeze. The Circuit will take you here.

If you are looking for waterfront dining along the intracoastal, this restaurant "The Rusty Hook tavern" is locate within the Sands Resort and is walking distance from the hotel and pier. You will experience the boating culture that embodies the nature of South Florida.
