107 Days To Go!

It all started with a simple meeting through mutual friends — and a little bit of perfect timing. When Jordan and I first met, I was in a relationship, so nothing more came of it then. But little did I know, Jordan told his grandma that day that he hoped one day he’d marry me. Life took us in different directions for a while, but somehow, fate wasn’t finished writing our story.

Jordan searched for me for a while and didn’t realize he had already added me on Snapchat. Fast forward to August 4, 2018 — I posted that my birthday was the next day, and to my surprise, Jordan swiped up saying, “Well, my birthday is today!” We started talking that night while I was staying at my Aunt Amanda’s house, and my little cousins and I even called to sing him Happy Birthday.

The next day, he asked to take me out for my birthday. When I got into his truck, there was a bouquet of flowers and a handwritten birthday card waiting for me. In that moment, he completely stole my heart. No one had ever gone out of their way like that for me before, and from that day forward, I knew there was something incredibly special about him.

We fell in love quickly and deeply — it just felt right. Over the years, we built a life together full of laughter, love, and countless memories. Jordan waited to propose until the timing felt perfect — the morning of our housewarming party, in the home we had worked so hard to make ours.

That moment captured everything about our journey — patience, love, and partnership. Now, as we get ready to say “I do,” I can’t help but think back to that first bouquet of flowers and smile, knowing he really did keep his promise to his grandma.
