Our Story

Love That Will Last a Lifetime

Picture of Love That Will Last a Lifetime

It all began in early June 2022, when Taylor came across Jason on Hinge. His post about being a teacher caught her eye, and she couldn’t resist asking what grade he taught. That one small message turned into the start of something neither of them could have imagined.

Just a few weeks later, on June 22, 2022, they met for their very first date at The Farm on Elm Street in Manchester. Conversation came easily; they bonded over the school year, shared their interests and found several things they have in common such as their love of legos, and much more! By the end of the night, it was clear there was something special between them, at least to Taylor. She couldn’t wait to see him again. She later found out that Jason wasn’t sure if she liked him. Sometimes she can be pretty stoic when expressing her emotions.

Only two days later, on June 24, Taylor met Rex — Jason’s dog and loyal sidekick. It didn’t take long for Rex to win her heart too. From that point on, Taylor and Jason began spending more and more time together, growing closer every brewery trip, nature walk, and late-night conversation.

By July 22, they were cheering together at a Fisher Cats game, and just two days later, Taylor met Jason’s family — her future in-laws — for the first time.

Before they knew it, they were inseparable: sharing their summer days, preparing for the new school year, and discovering that they would both be teaching third grade.

That August, Jason met Taylor’s mom, marking another step in blending their two worlds.

A few months later, on October 15, 2022, Jason invited Taylor on a hike to show her his love of the outdoors. They ventured to Arethusa Falls and Frankenstein Cliff in Crawford Notch. The breathtaking views and peaceful trail made it an unforgettable day — though they had no idea just how meaningful that place would become for them in the years to come.

As time went on, school life picked up, and their bond deepened. Jason discovered Taylor’s love for reading — her “book nerd” side — and Taylor learned that Jason found joy in cooking. She enjoyed all the yummy food that he surprised her with. They balanced each other perfectly.

On Christmas Day 2022, Jason asked Taylor to move in. They were already spending nearly every moment together, so it just felt right. She said yes, and the holiday season was filled with love, laughter, and shared traditions. And legos! Jason gifted Taylor the first piece of our lego Christmas village. It has grown every birthday and Christmas since.

By spring, Taylor wanted to do something special for Jason’s 30th birthday. On April 29, 2023, she surprised him with a weekend getaway to Portland, Maine. They wandered through cobblestone streets, explored local shops, and enjoyed their first weekend away together. During the trip, they stumbled upon Pet Finder — because of course, Rex wanted a little brother! They found Charlie, a sweet pup with one ear that stuck up, just like Rex. It felt like fate.

May 13, 2023 marked the day Charlie joined the family. Rex and Charlie became instant best friends (thankfully — if you know, you know).

By the end of June, Taylor brought Jason on his first vacation with her family to the Jersey Shore, where he fit right in. The rest of 2023 was filled with cozy nights, family gatherings, adventures with the dogs, and countless small, happy moments.

In 2024, life settled into something peaceful and steady. Jason and Taylor continued learning about each other, supporting one another, and building a life that felt like home. They would find themselves having game nights, taking trips to book stores, hanging out with friends, and so many more amazing little moments.

That November, they traveled to Mexico City for a friend’s wedding — Taylor’s first international trip! This was also their first real vacation away. The city’s beauty and vibrancy made it unforgettable. They would go back in a heartbeat.

December 2024, it was Jason’s turn to plan Taylor’s 30th. Knowing her love of crafting, he planned a date night at a pottery studio. They learned how to use a pottery wheel and made several beautiful bowls. They then dined at their favorite restaurant, Stash Box.

A few months later, on February 22, 2025, Taylor planned another surprise getaway for Jason — this time to a tiny, secluded cabin in Epsom, New Hampshire. It was the perfect cozy escape, and Jason loved every minute.

As 2025 unfolded, Taylor “subtly” began hinting that she was ready for the next step — maybe even dropping a few not-so-subtle wedding-day Pinterest links. Little did she know, Jason already had a plan.

In April 2025, he secretly ordered an engagement ring while Taylor sat just a few feet away on the couch.

On June 27, 2025, Jason suggested they return to Arethusa Falls and Frankenstein Cliff, saying it was good practice for a hike they’d planned for their upcoming St. Kitts trip (which, spoiler alert, didn’t happen — St. Kitts in July is very hot). Jason’s dad joined them for the hike, secretly in on the plan.

When they reached the top, they decided to recreate a photo from that first hike back in 2022. As Taylor walked ahead, Jason gently pulled her back — and dropped to one knee. Taylor jumped for joy, Jason cried, and of course, said yes! It was the easiest “yes” of her life.

The next week, Taylor and Jason headed to St. Kitts with the rest of the Kelly family. This is Taylor's first family trip with the whole crew. This was such a fun trip to celebrate their engagement.

By August 2025, wedding planning had officially begun.

And now, as they prepare to say “I do” on June 13, 2026, they look back on their story with full hearts — grateful for every twist, every laugh, every adventure, and every moment that brought them to forever.
