John and I have a unique story of how we met...

We have mutual friends and one day I saw John in a picture that our mutual friend posted on a social media app. So I went and creeped and thought nothing of it, besides the thought of “he would never go for a girl like me, I’m too much of a rule follower” 😉 Then about 2 months later, John happened to reach out to me through a social media post I made.

John was deployed at the time and I was back in Minerva, Ohio teaching (2019). We started talking through many platforms of social media before actually texting/ FaceTiming. We talked every single day for hours. It was as if we were best friends before he left for the Army.

As crazy as the beginning was, we didn’t stop there. After about 9 months of talking and then dating (remind you, we never even met in person yet, EVER!) I decided to move out to Alaska to give this a shot. Not once did we ever have doubt even though on the outside looking in, it was insane!

July 2020 came when he finally came home from deployment and we got to meet each other and be with each other for the first time. And…

It was AMAZING! It was as if we had known each other for years. We both were speechless and smiling too much to really say anything.

Fast forward to 2 years later, we have a beautiful son, Carson, and 2 pups, Willow and Wrangler. We have lived in Alaska and made that first home very special. Now, we live in North Carolina following our dreams!

It has been an adventure but the journey is just beginning. We have had so much love and support these last 2-3 years and now we cannot wait to get married in front of YOU, our biggest supporters!
