Well as most of you know, meeting people in these times isn't always the easiest! You either meet in high school, college, church, work, etc. Sometimes that just doesn't work out and you have to look for other options! Zach and I made the choice to do what some people may think is a little scary/unorthodox, but we signed up for a dating app called Bumble! This app in particular, the girl has to make the first move... interesting right? So how it works is that you input different qualities you would like in a partner; beliefs, hobbies, goals, deal breakers, etc. After about a week of us being on Bumble, Zach and I matched! I, of course, had to message him first.. one of his facts was that he enjoyed a nice steak. :) I thought I'd break the ice and see how he enjoyed his steak being cooked.. a very important question!! He said medium rare and I sighed a sigh of relief. The rest is history...
Zach and I enjoyed our first date at Texas Roadhouse in Gainesville, while we waited for our table we listed to the DAWGS win against TN and celebrated the victory together. Once we sat down to dinner, our conversation took off and we found it so easy just getting to know each other and share our lives with each other.
Days, weeks, months went on, we met each other's families (a very important part of both of our lives). We fell deeper in love with each other, we spent more time getting to know how our every day lives looked and we went on many adventures!
Fast forward to June of 2023, Zach proposed to me on a very special landmark, the Bodie Island Lighthouse, knowing that lighthouses held a special place in my heart. I knew that I found the one God intended for me and Zach did too..
We can't wait to celebrate our special day and lives with all of our loved ones. God is good all the time, and all the time God is good!
