It all started at the bride's sister's wedding in Mexico in January 2022. Taylor was the Maid of Honor in her sister's wedding and the best part was that Derek would be attending this wedding for the groom since they were friends in dental school. The bride and groom fell in love over a sushi dinner at the Valentin Imperial and have never turned back since. Starting with a journey through a winter snow storm, Derek and Taylor's love continued to grow despite the distance. After a year of constant visits back and forth for the couple, Taylor finished her doctorate in Audiology and was able to move to Columbus to be with her love. Since May of 2023, the couple has lived happily in Columbus, Ohio. They have shared many fun live experiences since then.

Finally, on January 24, 2024 Derek surprised Taylor with a romantic proposal dinner and she (thankfully) said yes! The couple celebrated the engagement in Florida while deciding on all of the fun details for the wedding.

We are both very excited to have you join us where it all began for our very own wedding at the Valentin Imperial Riveria Maya on April 12, 2025.
