Neima & Taylor met the old fashioned way: at a bar.

Taylor started working for Subaru just a few days earlier & they both traveled to Austin for a work trip. Neima smoothly pointed out that Taylor had spilled coffee on her yellow dress & she sweetly asked where in India he was from. It was a true meet cute.

As they kept chatting at the bar, their dialogue soon became less embarrassing and they quickly fell into easy conversation. Every topic was more fun than the next & they didn't want the night to end. Unfortunately, bars do close and they were ushered out.

By the time they got home, Taylor knew she was going to marry him (& she has an embarrassing Snapchat to prove it). Because he didn't catch her number, Neima went with the next best option & emailed her work email address. He sent her a few of the artists they talked about the night before & a few new ones and added that if she didn't like them she "just had bad taste". Taylor listened to them all morning as she packed up her suitcase.

Luckily for them, they both were in Austin again the next week for a training. Neima asked his brother for a restaurant recommendation and they snuck away from the group for dinner (didn't even expense it). Instantly they reconnected & knew that this was much more than anything they'd experienced before. They ran through a list of their non-negotiables & future desires and it all aligned. Having just started a new job & moved to Chicago, Taylor pointed out that relocating wasn't an option for her at the moment. And in true Neima fashion, he said "Chicago is cool! I've moved across the country for less" and that was that.

Both being relatively new to Subaru, they decided to keep the relationship under wraps & planned to tell everyone the following May. Long story short, they were forced to tell the company in November. Coincidentally, a job opened up & the company was incredible enough to move Neima to Chicago by December.

Only 6 months later, they ended up buying their first home and a month later were engaged. Both had always been a little skeptical of 'when you know, you know' but, it turns out, when you know, you know!
