Wasilla is located about a 45-minute drive north of Anchorage. The town offers a variety of accommodations for your stay, including hotels, lodges, and Airbnb/VRBO options. We also suggest checking out lodging in neighboring towns like Palmer (15 minutes away), Chugiak (30 minutes away), or Eagle River (35 minutes away). We recommend booking early, as summer in Alaska is a busy travel season. Feel free to reach out to us if you need recommendations or help finding a place to stay!

At The Barn Matsu is a charming and rustic venue. It features a spacious barn and a beautiful outdoor space. Our ceremony will take place outside, and our reception will be inside the barn.

We ask that you and your party arrive by 3:30 PM to have time to park and find a seat at the venue. Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4 PM.

We would love to see all our friends and family dressed up for our special day! Cocktail (semi-formal) attire is the dress code, and we would be so happy to see everybody in summer colors. See the "Attire" page for color pallet inspiration! We specifically ask that you do not wear jeans. Ladies, please do not wear white or off-white, let the bride have her moment <3

To keep our ceremony small and intimate, we are unable to accommodate additional guests. If you have been allotted a plus one, their name will be listed on your invitation. We appreciate your understanding and cant wait to celebrate with you!

Invitations will be specific and will include the names of the children who are invited. Our hope is that you party with us an enjoy a night off!

The week following our wedding is peak sockeye fishing season! We will be leaving the Anchorage area and heading to Soldotna on the Kenai peninsula to go fishing. We would LOVE for you to join us if your time off allows for it.
