Taylor and Robert met while working for FAU housing in August 2020. At the time, all meetings were on Zoom, so the Rosie the Riveter poster in Taylor's office was always on display. Robert found a print from a follow up series that was printed following the war while thrift shopping, but didn't realize until after he was home that this could be an excuse to talk to her, so he turned around to go back for it. She later invited him out to kayak at South County Regional Park, and the rest was history! As we are both history buffs, it was a fitting coincidence that our anniversary is January 20th, inauguration day (for those who are curious, Robert's favorite president is Abe Lincoln and Taylor's is Theodore Roosevelt).

The day we moved into our first apartment together, we picked up the keys and immediately drove up to Peggy Adams Animal Rescue to start our family by bringing home Maui. Those who have had the pleasure to meet him know he is the sweetest boy, and absolutely loves attention and meeting his new best friends (anyone who comes into the house). Four month later our family grew by a yard when got Mississippi, our sassy little three-legged purr machine. Monticello, our most recent (and also three-legged!) addition is still getting settled in, but has made himself at home in the couple's hearts!

We were engaged on Robert's birthday in 2024 and immediately got to work booking our vendors, and are still hard at work planning the party of our lifetime!
