It all started in high school... depending on who you ask.
Palmer will tell you we met the summer before 10th grade on a church retreat. Taylor, on the other hand, swears we met through friends in 10th grade. Either way, somewhere between shared hallways, teenage nerves, and awkward glances, something really special began.
Our first date was to the movie theater. Taylor was so nervous — it was her first date ever — and barely said a word. In fact, for the first four years of our relationship, Taylor was so shy that Palmer often had to guess what she was thinking. These days, Palmer can't get her to stop talking... and honestly wouldn’t have it any other way.
Over time, our bond grew from quiet moments into something unshakable. Those early years were filled with long conversations, late-night texts, nervous hand-holding, and plenty of growing up — both individually and together. Somewhere along the way, we realized this wasn’t just young love. It was real love. The kind that sticks. The kind that’s built on patience, laughter, friendship, and knowing that, no matter what, we’re better together.
We’ve shared countless memories — the silly ones and the quiet ones that no one else sees. Palmer has a gift for making Taylor laugh, whether it’s by randomly dancing in the kitchen, poking gentle fun at her quirks, or just being his quick, witty self. And Taylor, once the quiet girl who barely spoke, has grown into the heart of every room she walks into — thoughtful, strong, and full of quiet joy. She has this way of making people feel seen, understood, and loved — especially Palmer, who feels lucky every day to call her his.
On August 10th, surrounded by beams and drywall in the house we’re building together, Palmer got down on one knee. No grand audience, no big production — just us, in the place where our future will unfold. It is a place that means everything to us, and was simply perfect.
We’re so excited to begin this next chapter — to build a life, start a family, and create our very own happily ever after.
