Johnny and Taylor’s story begins back in 2018 at the Rellik Tavern in Benicia, CA. They had their first date no more than 100 yards from what would end up being their first home together. When they met that very first night, they could have never predicted what was in store for them. While the timing may not have been perfect the first time around, they both knew that their paths would cross again.

Fast forward to 2020. Johnny was living in Texas at the time, but made the trip back to California to visit family and friends. A familiar name popped up on his phone and at that very moment, everything would change. The timing was perfect. While they had to take several pandemic related precautions to see one another, they couldn’t stay away. They squeezed every ounce of happiness and positivity out of an otherwise difficult situation. They grew to love one another more and more every day, and with every disposable mask came a new and exciting adventure.

After commuting from Hayward to Benicia for more than a year, they decided to move in together. They loved every extra moment that they got to spend with one another. After only a couple months as roommates, they made another big life decision, and this one came with four paws and unlimited energy! Johnny and Taylor welcomed June to their family in November of 2021 and she quickly stole the spotlight in their home. She brought them closer together than ever before, and was the perfect addition to their happy family.

A year later, on a brisk November morning in Chico, CA, Johnny and Taylor took a hike that they would remember for the rest of their lives. The hike itself encapsulated the previous two and a half years of their life together. It was challenging at times and rewarding at others. There were slips and trips followed by hugs and kisses. When they finally made it to the top, and looked out over the beautiful sunrise, there was no place in the world either of them would rather be. With the assistance of June, Johnny got down on one knee and asked Taylor to make him the happiest person in the world. It was perfect.
