Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?
The ceremony and reception will both take place at Deer Park Manor in Bloomington, IN.
1501 E Hillside Dr. #300, Bloomington, IN 47401.
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
Both the ceremony and the reception will be taking place mostly outdoors (weather permitting). Guests are welcome to wander in and out of the manor at their leisure during the reception.
Can I bring a date?
We have a strict guest list due to venue capacity and budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
What should I do if I can't make it?
You will be missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please RSVP "no" in advance so we can plan accordingly.
When should I arrive?
We recommend that you arrive an hour before the start of the ceremony to ensure that everyone is on time, seated comfortably, and we can get the party started as scheduled!
What should I wear?
The dress code for our wedding and reception is semi-formal.
What will the weather be like this time of year?
Indiana weather is difficult to predict any time of the year. October 2022 was a fairly warm and sunny month, so that's what we're hoping/predicting for 2023! Bring a light jacket in case temperatures drop in the evening.
What happens after the ceremony?
After the ceremony, the bridal party and immediate families will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception area where we will be serving beverages and they can visit our photo booth for complimentary photos!
Does your wedding have a theme?
YES! We are doing a subtle Lord of the Rings theme. Cloaks, hobbit feet, and corresponding colors are not necessary to attend! Though, if you would like to correspond with the wedding palette, our colors are burgundy, blush, and eucalyptus green.
Where should guests park? Is parking free?
Parking is ample AND free, though we encourage carpooling where possible. When the parking lot fills up, cars can be parked on the grounds near the entrance to the courtyard. Cars can even be left overnight.
Where do you recommend I stay?
Please see our "Travel" page for places to stay in Bloomington and the surrounding area! NOTE: October in Bloomington is a very busy season - hotels book up fast between football games and other IU events. We highly encourage guests to look/book early if you plan to stay.
When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?
The RSVP deadline is 9/23/2023, though we highly encourage guests to RSVP as soon as reasonably possible, so that we can plan accordingly. No need to mail back RSVPs, just visit our "RSVP" page and submit it there!
Will transportation be provided to/from the hotel?
Transportation will not be provided, though there is ample parking space at the venue.
Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?
Please refrain from using cell phones during the ceremony. However, feel free to take and post photos during the reception! Our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #OneMoreOdle so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
