Our Wedding

Taylor and Chris met serendipitously in San Diego in 2023. With Taylor from Martha\u2019s Vineyard and Chris from Berwyn, Pennsylvania, it felt like fate that they both ended up on the California coast at the same time. Their love is the definition of when you know, you know. They had an instant connection on their very first date, April 13, and by June, Chris had officially asked Taylor to be his girlfriend. Taylor jokes that she knew he was the one after their second date, when Chris, who was allergic to cats at the time, got down on the floor to play with her cat, Mila. (The allergies have since subsided, thanks to lots of immersion therapy.)Chris says he knew Taylor was the one before they even met when he saw her in a mutual friend's Instagram post about a month before moving to San Diego. (We're calling it fate, not stalking.) It only took a few more months after moving for the stars to finally align and for them to meet in real life. Their first trip together was to Santa Barbara, where they hiked, explored, and drank plenty of wine, and also said I love you for the first time. From that point on, it was pretty clear: this was it. Since then, they've shared over two years of adventures, from coastal road trips to international travel, cooking at home, beach walks, wine tastings, sunset watching, and lots and lots of love. Chris proposed on March 7, 2025, just down the street from their home on a hidden beach in Bird Rock. They couldn't be more excited for this next chapter, and can't wait to celebrate their love with all of you on April 11, 2026!

There are a series of great hotels and local airbnbs in the La Jolla/ Bird Rock area. We recommend booking accommodations anywhere between Mission Beach and Del Mar — that stretch will keep you close to all the weekend festivities. This includes Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, Bird Rock, La Jolla, and Del Mar. Most events will take place in the La Jolla area, and we’ll be providing shuttle service from the Wedding Reception back to the La Jolla after the reception. Whether you choose a hotel, Airbnb, or vacation rental, staying nearby will make it easy to soak up the whole weekend with us!

Explore the La Jolla Cove: Take in stunning ocean views, watch the seals and sea lions basking on the rocks, check out the tide pools, and enjoy a scenic walk along the coastline.Stroll Through La Jolla Village: Charming boutiques, art galleries, and cute cafes line the streets. Our favorite farmers market is on Sundays.Rent a Bike: Rent a bike or an e-Bike and explore the coast line!PB Boardwalk: Soak in San Diego on the PB boardwalk which is lined with shops, roller bladers, surfers, and bars.Hit the beach: Some of our favorites are Windansea, Law Street Beach and Marine StreetHike at Torrey Pines State Reserve: One of our favorite hikes to bring visitors to- it offers stunning cliff views, ocean vistas and a variety of trails.Enjoy the sunset: Some of our favorites are Calumet park in Birdrock- down the street from our house, Windansea beach, La Jolla tide pools, and a short drive away the Gliderport in Torrey Pines.Golf: Torrey Pines is as good as it gets! Be sure to book as early as possible to get a tee time! Other fun courses include Encinitas Ranch, Golf Club of California, Aviara, Maderas, Singing Hills, Crossings, and Mt. Woodson. You also can't go wrong with the Mission Bay Par 3 golf course!
