From strangers to acquaintances to best friends to each other’s person is how we came to be! Our relationship started with Christ at the center of it and will continue to be every step of the way.


Timeline:


April 9th, 2021- We met for the first time at the Rooted All Staff Retreat.


May 14th, 2021- Jake offered to get people lunch on campus with his leftover Bearkat bucks, but no one accepted his offer. So I, Taylor, took him up on his offer and hopped in his truck cause I wanted to get to know him more. He thought I was crazy.


June 17th, 2021- The night a group of friends became best friends! Jake was missing the community and was having a rough summer. On the 17th, I, Taylor, got a group of friends from Rooted together to have dinner with Jake in the Bryan/ College Station area to hang out. This night was the start of a friendship that was going to last.


August 29th, 2021- I, Taylor, developed a little crush for Jake after we danced at Hurricane Harry’s.


October 19th, 2021- The crush grows after visiting the state park for a small belated birthday celebration while a group of us played We’re Not Really Strangers. I, Taylor, realized this man could read me like a book. It was scary yet comforting also knowing how much he cares for people.


November 10th, 2021- We recognized feelings for each other were mutual, so we prayed about if we should date!


November 16th, 2021- We began dating.

Fast forward to January 8th, 2024 - we became Fiancées!!🤍 We thank the Lord for our relationship. We want to thank everyone who has been a part of our journey! We love each of you and cherish your commitment to us!
