We have arranged a 15% discount at the Holiday Inn Express in Dawsonville. Price per night is around $190, plus taxes, etc. Both twin Queens (sleeps 4) and a King size bed (sleeps 2) are currently available. This is a nice, new and comfortable hotel in downtown Dawsonville. Plenty of local restaurants nearby and only about 5 miles from the venue (and only 3 miles from our Lakehouse). If you would like something more 'special', you should consider "The Hotel at Avalon" in Alpharetta, Georgia. This hotel is centered in an upscale boutique shopping/restaurant area. This Marriott Hotel is one of the finest in North Atlanta. Rooms will run $400+ per night. It is about 28 miles from the wedding venue (but an easy drive up GA 400). Finally, a fun suggestion ... there are many lakeside homes for rent around the venue. Many of them are large enough for larger families and are actually lakefront. Most are within only a few miles from the venue. This is best if you're considering a long weekend at Lake Lanier and/or would enjoy sharing with family or friends and sharing the cost. One of our family members rented a beautiful lakefront home with 6 bedrooms for a per night cost of about the Holiday Inn cost per room above !
