Doug & Taylor met many years ago in 2013 when Taylor moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan to finish out her softball career at Western Michigan University. Doug was also finishing his colligate career in engineering school while engaging in several intramural sports and activities. Naturally, they first met at Westerns intramural softball fields when Taylor subbed on Dougs team thanks to a friend of a friend! Despite getting in trouble for doing so while playing varsity, Doug & Taylor kept in touch for several years after! Subbing turned into hanging out, hanging out blossomed into a strong friendship over the years and finally in 2018 they reconnected, only it was different this time. After years of friend zoning each other Doug took his shot! :)


We started dating in November of 2018! As I would love to say it was flawless from start to finish, I think we all know Doug & I like to keep life interesting. Over the next few years we had not only overcome so many challenges and crossroads as individuals, but we learned how to grow together as well. Through learning how to support one another, challenge one another, and be there for one another in ways we didnt know we needed, the love grew stronger and stronger with every year that passed.


We blended our fur families and decided to buy a home to call our own, while adopting our youngest child Ms. Ecko Pup. After settling in, we both knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together! Timing was everything but after 4 years of dating we FINALLY got engaged on March 9th, 2023 in Cabo San Lucas on our annual vacation. We are so very excited to say I DO and celebrate with you as we continue our story as husband and wife!
