Our Wedding

Located on the beautiful island of Santorini, Greece, the winery is situated above the main port of Athinios and carved directly into the volcanic rock&nbsp;of the caldera cliffs. The winery offers panoramic views of the famous Santorini caldera, the volcano, the Aegean Sea and the surrounding islands. Venetsanos Winery was established in 1947, making it the first industrial winery on Santorini.

How to Get from Athens to Santorini

By Air: The easiest way to get to the island of Santorini from Athens is via one of the multiple daily flights from Athens flying into Santorini (Thira) International Airport (JTR). The average flight time is 50 minutes. By Ferry: For those of you who want to choose a more adventurous path and enjoy a trip on the Aegean Sea, you may take a ferry from Athens to Santorini. High speed ferries from Athens take about 5 hours. Or you can opt for a more leisurely overnight ferry, which will take about 8-9 hours.Caution: if you are prone to seasickness, definitely do your research before choosing one of these :)

To travel from Santorini's port to Fira, the main town, the most convenient options are&nbsp;public bus, taxi/uber or private transfer.&nbsp;The town of Fira is 3.4 miles from Santorini Airport and the trip takes approximately 10-20 minutes depending on traffic ***The hotel options we provided on the accommodations page all offer airport transfers.
