Our relationship started the way most modern day love stories start… the internet. We matched on the dating app Hinge in October 2018 and had our first date a few weeks later at Honest Abe’s in Lincoln. The first few years were spent driving back and forth between Lincoln and Omaha in order to see each other. As the miles on our cars racked up, our love for each other did too. In April 2020 we signed a lease for a two-bedroom apartment in Omaha. It turned out to be a great move because Eric proposed in the living room on November 19, 2021. We enjoy playing board games with each other, trying out different restaurants in town, watching each other’s favorite teams play (Eric’s Kansas City Chiefs and Taylor’s Minnesota Twins), and traveling a bit. We’ve been to Seattle (June 2019), Portland, OR (March 2020), and Minneapolis (June 2021) together along with numerous trips to see each other’s families in St. Joseph, MO and Truman, MN. We are now looking forward to our honeymoon after the wedding in the Dominican Republic. We recently purchased our first house together and are excited to have a place to start the next chapter of our lives.
