Emily may have blacked out when we first met at High School orientation but it did not take long for us to become close friends. By Sophomore year we were inseparable.

Our story may not have started out with falling in love because we did not even know what that meant. All we knew as that life was better with each other in it.

Through band events and dances we stuck close to each other.

Along the way we grew an amazing group of friends who supported us.

At some point our High school had the great idea to give us all IPads. This meant for us that even when we were in different places we could stay close. We would stay up for hours just talking and we would show up on a screen at family events. Taylor started being known as the IPad girl in Emily's family.

Spending all that time together we started to realize that our feelings ran deeper than just best friends. We started imagining life together and life apart just seemed impossible.

Although Taylor was set up with someone else for prom, we did not leave each other's side the whole night (Sorry to Taylor's Date!)

We always had so much fun together. Whether we were playing clash of clans or just talking about random things.

This was a bad decision. We needed more people for fall ball so we almost had Taylor go in for a game. That was a close one!

Senior prom was amazing because we actually went together. We danced, talked, and even played some putt putt at Magic Mountain.

Graduation was bitter sweet. We were both going to different colleges but we knew this was our time to grow and mature

One last summer together before going off to school

The first year of college we tried long distance. It was not very successful because we both had a lot of individual growing to do.

We still Facetimed and saw each other a couple times but as we got more involved with school and other activities it became hard to stay in touch.

Once we were home for the summer it became easier to see each other but we were still mentally in two different places.

Year two of college we were more intentional about finding times to meet back in Columbus.

After going to Toledo to visit for Christmas we both realized that it made sense to break up. This gave us both time to grow and explore ourselves individually. We were still very dependent on each other and immature and this time away was really beneficial even though it was painful at the time.

We really got back in touch after Emily's roommate passed away at the end of senior year of college. She really needed support and love from her best friend and Taylor was there.

The first time we met up in person, Taylor accidentally drove to West Virginia instead of Cincinnati. It will always be a mystery how you can get that lost from Columbus. Putting the wrong address in the GPS is one thing but still going after the welcome to West Virginia sign is another level.

Not long after seeing each other it felt like we were able to fully trust each other and pick up right where we left off.

We knew if we were going to get back together it needed to be for good this time.

Even though we were still long distance we were much more intentional about getting together and making time for each other.

We had a pact that we would both propose to each other and Taylor started this off by decorating our basement room with memories we shared together.

Added our lock to the bridge. When we went back a year later it was missing. Guess we need a stronger lock.

Living in a house with just the two of us we started to realize we had enough love to add to our little family. Zuko has brought us so much joy and we are so happy we adopted him.

Family vacation number 2 to Arizona. We visited family, climbed Camelbak, and went to some vortexes. We even caught a Catholic mass at one!

We were disappointed that Taylor did not fully match but it gave her a great opportunity to further explore what she wants to do. Also, we were so happy that she did match her first year at Christ Hospital.

Family trip number 3 to Orlando.

Pride is always a special time for us but it is even more meaningful getting to walk with our church and show that Catholics can be welcoming to everyone. Our faith means so much to us and having a parish where we can truly be ourselves has been such a blessing.

In September of last year we celebrated Annie and Matthew's wedding. We are so glad to be part of their celebration.

We can't wait to celebrate our big day with all of our friends and family!
