We met during our freshman year at Auburn during homecoming week in the Farmhouse chapter room. Carter struck up a small conversation with me over the millions of pomps we were making for our homecoming float!

We attended the Alpha Omicron Pi semi-formal together during our freshman year. We danced the night away and had such a fun time with friends. Carter and I maintained a healthy friendship throughout the rest of freshman year, but the COVID-19 pandemic changed our relationship quite a bit. In the summer of 2020 Carter and I began to speak to each other every day. We would share "fun facts" about ourselves that kept us laughing. As we continued to get to know one another, our friendship grew into something more!

Throughout our sophomore year, Carter and I began to spend a lot of time together. Our friends caught on that we were going to be more than friends way before we thought that ourselves. Our first date was at Taziki's in downtown Auburn. We have had many dates since then, and they keep getting better!

Carter asked me to be his girlfriend on November 13th, 2020 before he took me to a surprise birthday party that he and my friends put together. It was a very happy day!

Over the years, Carter and I have grown not only our relationship but our friendship. We laugh together, cry together, and all the things in between. Carter pushes me to be a better person, in the same way I push him to be better. As we have grown, we have realized that our lives are so much easier when we are together. We cannot wait to get married and laugh with each other for the rest of our lives!
