After working a night shift at the hospital, I had woken up on a Saturday afternoon to a text from my friend, Chelsea. She had invited me to a birthday bar crawl here in Soulard, which is the neighborhood both JP and I live in. I had never turned down an invite to a bar crawl and I wasn't going to start then, so of course I said yes! Little did I know my life was about to be forever changed in the best way possible! After the second bar I had yet to meet the birthday boy, JP! It only felt right to wish him a happy birthday and give my thanks for letting me join in on the celebration! So, on our walk to the next destination we struck up a conversation. I was immediately attracted to his ability to hold a sincere conversation, that charming southern twang, and of course his devilishly good looks (even in jorts lol). We continued to chat throughout the night and by the end of the bar crawl I knew I wanted to continue to get to know him. So, that next morning I bravely slid into his DMs, we planned our first date, and the rest is history!

I had some buddies in town for my 30th birthday. We went golfing on Friday and on Saturday we had a bar crawl. Taylor had recently moved to Soulard and was invited by a mutual friend and showed up at McGurks just in time to do some Irish Car Bombs. We all ended up walking around the Soulard area, stopping at certain bars along the way, and Taylor and I started chatting on the walks in between bars and had an amazing time with everyone. A few days after this, Taylor Dm'd me on the "Gram" asking if I would like to go out to dinner, to which I said absolutely! We ended up having our first date at Chava's Mexican Restaurant. The food was good but the company was even more wonderful! Over the next few weeks we started to talk and hangout more and more and the rest is history!
