Entering into her eighth grade year at Clark Middle school, a 13 year old Taylor Storjohann was in love with a 15 year old Christian Figueroa who did not know of her existence. They both went to Grace Community Church, and their moms worked in the Children's Ministry together. She would take his family Christmas card to school (they went to different schools) and tell her classmates he was her "boyfriend". Once again...he did not know she existed. Pathetic? Adorable? You decide.

It wasn't until March of her Freshman year that one fateful Wednesday night at Small Groups Christian (finally!) took notice of the girl, who unbeknownst to him, had made Christian the object of her affection for almost two years. Knowing he was popular and a soccer player at his school, Taylor asked him "So I hear you're the King of Jasper [High School]?"He asked for her phone number, and as he left texted her "Do you want to be the Queen on my throne?" For a then 14 year old girl this was quite the pick-up line. But we all know what happens when women get exactly what they want.......they don't want it anymore (Ha!). For the next two years they dated on and off to the annoyance of all their friends around them-sorry guys!

By March of 2010 both of them knew they were meant to be together and were ready to commit (as much as you can when you are 16 and 18) to making it last. As Co-Maid-of-Honor, Amanda Brown, can tell you-Christian did not leave Taylor much choice though and stated that they were now dating seriously, and he would pick her up for church in the morning. This was after the three of them had gone out to IHOP late one Saturday night, and had spent hours in his car talking about whether they should be together... with Amanda awkwardly in the backseat. Christian sped off, and once inside the girls freaked out and Amanda told Taylor to remember this night because they were going to get married one day.

Over the next 5 years they experienced life at some of it's highest highs (moving in together, becoming parents to now four fur babies-Lexus, Rover, Bentley, and Rhea) and some of it's lowest lows (parent's divorcing, Christian's mom Jessika and her battle with Breast Cancer). Around year two Taylor was already dreaming of what her Engagement Ring would look like and searching around Pinterest (what else?) when she found her "Dream Ring". She showed it to Christian, and on New Year's Eve of 2015 this was the ring he proposed to her with in front of nearly 20 friends and family. Since they had been dating for almost 6 years, Taylor's first thought was "About damn time!"...but she responded with a simple "Yes!"

On November 11th of 2017 they will solidify what was felt almost a decade ago when they had their first conversation that Wednesday night...that they were meant to spend their lives together.
