Pocahontas has more than 90 miles of trail for users of all skill levels. Hiking - A total of about 10 miles of trail for hiking only. Biking - Pocahontas has more than 44 miles of directional mountain bike trails, including traditional single-track, machine-built flow and hand-cycle friendly trails.
Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is fun to visit year round. The Dominion Energy GardenFest of Lights is an annual holiday tradition at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, featuring over a million twinkling lights, botanical decorations, and model trains. Voted among the best botanical garden holiday lights in the U.S., this walk-through experience runs nightly from mid-November through early January and includes fire pits, s'mores, and special themed displays.
The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is open 365 days a year, 10am - 5pm.
General admission is always free to the main museum and outdoor grounds.

Belle Isle visitors can see historic sites like Hollywood Cemetery, Tredegar Iron Works, and the downtown Richmond city skyline. Belle Isle has trails and a small cliff used for rock-climbing demonstrations, and large, flat rocks to to sit on and view the James River.
To access Belle Isle from downtown Richmond park along Tredegar Street or in the Belle Isle Lot and the main access point is the Belle Isle Pedestrian Bridge that runs under the Lee Bridge. This footbridge offers both pedestrian and bicycle accessibility from Tredegar Street.
Maymont is a 100-acre historic park and estate in Richmond, Virginia, featuring themed gardens, a Gilded Age mansion, wildlife habitats, and a nature center.
Tickets are not required to visit Maymont's grounds, gardens, and farm. Daily hours are 10am – 5pm. The Nature Center and Stone Barn Welcome Center are open Fri – Sun, 10am – 5pm. The Mansion and Virginia Wildlife Trail reopen this spring.
