Taylor & Rawley

Rawley's Perspective:

It all started back in 2010 when my dad took a coaching job at Spring Hill. Little did I know, that move would lead me to meet my future wife, Taylor. We became childhood friends—laughing, playing, and running through the halls of Spring Hill like it was our playground. Even after I moved away, we kept in touch through social media, staying connected off and on for years.

Fast forward to our senior year of high school—my team happened to play Spring Hill, and there she was on the cheer squad, still lighting up the field like she always did. A few quick conversations followed, but our timing still wasn’t right. It wasn’t until years later, near the end of college, that a chance BeReal post in Longview led to us reconnecting. A few texts turned into long conversations, and I knew I had to see her again. Our first date finally happened at Legacy West, and after three hours of nonstop talking, I was certain: this was something real.

I asked Taylor to be my girlfriend in a Whataburger parking lot (very on-brand for us), and just months later, I knew I was going to marry her. On December 21, 2024, I proposed to my best friend. Taylor, I can’t wait to see you walk down the aisle and begin forever with you. You’re everything I prayed for—my greatest joy, and my home.
