Our Wedding

Jax and Taylor first met in the 5th grade in Mrs. Olup's classroom at Kenston Intermediate School. Jax did nothing but pick on Taylor in class (they say, when a boy picks on a girl, that means they like you). During high school, Jax and Taylor always seemed to end up in the same science classes and were lab partners almost always. Again, Jax was still picking on Taylor Jax and Taylor graduated from Kenston in 2016 and went their separate ways. Jax joined the military and attended Kent State University. Taylor attended Mercyhurst University. It was not until 2020 that Jax and Taylor reconnected with each other for the first time. Jax was the one to send a text saying, "Hey, whats up?" to Taylor. Over the winter break, Jax and Taylor started to hang out more with each other. Unfortunately, Taylor was not on the same page as Jax at the time and was not interested in dating him and the result was that Taylor ended up ghosting Jax. In 2021, Jax and Taylor crossed paths again. This time Taylor sent a text to Jax apologizing for what happened and a few months later the two of them found themselves reconnecting at 17 River Grill in Chagrin Falls, OH. One week later, Jax and Taylor went on their first date at Top Golf. On February 19, 2023, Jax told Taylor that his parents had a surprise for both of them. Driving into Bainbridge, Jax and Taylor had time to kill before heading to his parents. Jax decided to take a drive around town and ended up in the Kenston Intermediate School parking lot (keep in mind that it was very cold outside). Jax asked Taylor to get out of the car and play tetherball on the playground. Taylor immediately said, "No, are you crazy! It is freezing out there!" but Jax did not give Taylor a choice and walked her to the courts. Jax then explained to Taylor why they were there, this is the spot we first met in the 5th grade... Getting down on one knee, Jax proposed to Taylor, and as all of you know...she said yes!

Guest-room Rates: A group rate of $139. Discounted group rate is not available through the online reservation. Please call the hotel at 330-995-0200 using the block code Wiegand-Currington Room Block. Check-in time is after 4:00 PM and check-out time is 11:00 AM. Reservation Cut-Off Date: The Hotel has agreed to hold a block of 20 room nights until August 15, 2024. At that time, rooms not covered by a rooming list or individual reservation will be released from the block.
