It all started in 2019 at a bar — classic, we know. Hunter was working behind the bar, and I (Taylor) came in for drinks with my friend Jo. Jo used to work there, knew just about everyone, and somehow, the stars aligned — or maybe it was just tequila.

Jo and another coworker introduced us, but let’s be real: there was no small talk. The first thing I said to Hunter was, “Why did my ex get fired?” No “hi,” no “what’s your name?” Just straight to the point. That bold moment broke the ice, and Hunter served us drinks until close.

That night, he found out I’d never shot a gun before — and for someone who loves guns so much, he wanted to change that. So naturally, he got my number and invited me to the gun range for our first date. Nothing says romance like shooting 8–10 different guns followed by Mexican food.

Four years later, we moved to Brainerd for Hunter’s new job and bought our first home together in 2023. We love to travel (hence the destination wedding!), try new foods, and spend time with our pets, Holly and Rhys.

On New Years Day 2025, Hunter finally popped the question. In true Hunter fashion, he kicked things off with a cardboard ring he had joked about for months — then pulled out the real one and asked me to marry him. Spoiler alert: I said yes.

Now here we are — getting ready to say “I do” in paradise, surrounded by our favorite people. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
