Our story began back in 2019 when we matched on Bumble three days after Taylor moved to St. Louis from Arizona. We quickly bonded over our love for sushi which led to our first official date at Drunken Fish. One date at Drunken Fish led to another and we were hooked on each other (no pun intended).

It wasn't long after starting to date that Mackenzie realized she was going to help Taylor raise a Golden Retriever named Jackson. After many sleepless nights and visits to the vet, Mackenzie quickly fell in love with Jackson and eventually, Jackson's mom. In addition to Jackson, we have our dog Penelope, who wasn't so sure about her mom's new love interest at first, but came to love the extra attention she got from two moms rather than just one.

On July 17th, 2022, Taylor proposed to Mackenzie in front of the Fox Theatre in St. Louis. Although Taylor tried to keep the proposal a surprise, Mackenzie caught on when she saw Taylor practicing getting down on one knee in front of the mirror. Before Taylor could get many words out, Mackenzie quickly said "thank you" and accepted the ring, which Taylor later clarified was an unequivocal YES.

Taylor, Mackenzie, Jackson, and Penelope have embarked on a new adventure together in Phoenix, Arizona. We are looking forward to exploring a new city, and of course, finding a new favorite sushi spot, so we can fall in love over and over again.

We are so grateful to every person who has been a part of our story. The outpouring of love and acceptance we have received from so many of you has meant more than you know. Our love for one another is so deep and genuine, and we absolutely cannot wait to celebrate it with you all in the beautiful and charming city of San Clemente.
