The Des Moines Farmers' Market is one of the biggest and best farmers' markets in the country! It takes place every Saturday morning from 7am - Noon. The Market supports more than 300 small business owners and you can expect to see a wide variety of stands that include fresh produce, flowers, fresh baked goods, live music and entertainment and more!

The Iowa Cubs are a Triple-A minor league baseball team affiliated with the Chicago Cubs. They have two home games the weekend of the wedding! One on Friday August 30th (which has fireworks afterwards) and another one on Saturday August 31st. Ticket prices range from $9 - $36 for Adults.

The Science Center of Iowa is located in Downtown Des Moines and is great for children of all ages. It is open Thursday - Sunday from 9am - 4pm. Tickets are $15 for ages 2 - 69, and $13 for those 70 and older.
