Bobby Coovert and Teagan Harlan and met in 2014 while working together at Gamestop in Corona, CA. The two instantly bonded over their love of video games, especially the Mass Effect franchise.
After some time of working at Gamestop a small friend group formed amongst co-workers. Bobby decided to invite the group to get together to play a game of Dungeons and Dragons. Together, with Bobby leading the story as the Dungeon Master, the band of heroes met weekly for several years to adventure in a world that Bobby created when he was ten years old.
In November 2017, Bobby and Teagan's close friendship became a relationship. Bobby proposed on December 6th of 2019 surrounded by friends and family while playing the game that brought them together, Dungeons and Dragons. Bobby worked the proposal of one of Bobby's characters (Carrac) and Teagan's character (Thia) into the finale of a several year long campaign. The proposal started with a reflection of their time spent together in game and out and ended with other friends and family coming into the room to surprise Teagan so we could be surrounded by everyone we love on such a special day.
Bobby and Teagan purchased their first home together in March 2020 and had their wedding date set for December 6th of 2020 (exactly one year after the proposal), but due to the unfortunate circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic the wedding was postponed. Bobby and Teagan decided to legally tie the knot on November 17 of 2020 surrounded by both of their parents (and Joey) via a "Zoom Wedding" with the court.
We are so excited to finally celebrate our love for each other on November 7th (aka Mass Effect Day) with the people we care about the most.
