Once upon a time... Kubiak Family Farms needed help with first cutting hay. So all of us Laier's convoyed over with our equipment. As I was driving I noticed someone was in one of our trucks. He kept talking and talking and talking on our CBs. I had no idea who it was. A couple hours later as I was waiting to offload my truck into the silage bunker, a man came up to my truck asking if I wanted some snacks. Of course I said no with the worst RBF on my face. Once he left I realized he was kinda cute and had instant regret.
Later that day, both of the choppers were down and all of the trucks were waiting at the field. That same man that offered me snacks drove up next to me in a gator with a little boy. He proceeded to heavily flirt with me (He'll claim he didn't but he did). A couple of days later he messaged me on a dating app and the rest is history!
I'll forever be grateful that something we're both so passionate about brought us together. Farming has always been a big part of both of our lives and always will be. After our first date at Dairy Queen I knew he was the one. I fell for Nick hard and continue to fall more and more everyday.
The real once upon a time... Kubiaks and Laier's were chopping haylage down the road from my family's farm when they requested my cousin Michael and I's help driving truck. I first spotted Teagan driving truck and could tell she definitely was not some girly girly (which I really liked). I asked my cousin Michael who she was and he told me, then said she was in a relationship still (so he thought). So after learning that I lost my hopes of trying to make a move.
Later on that day I got some snacks at Kubiak's and filled my pockets full then decided to offer some to a truck that had just dumped haylage. I did not realize it was Teagan when I walked up but there was no turning back awkwardly once I got close enough to notice so I proceed with what little confidence I had (she made me really nervous because she was so beautiful). I just nicely asked her if she would like any snacks and she told me "No" so I left. I saw her again later in the day when I was riding around in the gator with Cooper and we stopped to joke around with her that both choppers were down and then left. I never thought I'd talk to her again until I saw her on a dating app and knew I had another chance and well the rest is history.
Some people told me to be careful, them Laier girls are tough and hard headed along with the Laier family as a whole. I did not care about any of that though. My first few weeks of talking and spending time with Teagan I knew she was the one. Her family as well came to accept me into their lives and I will forever be grateful for that.
