It was Memorial Day weekend of 2018. She was celebrating her birthday on a girl’s trip and he was celebrating the holiday on a guy’s trip. What are the odds that they’d be staying at the same hotel? He was across the hall from some of the ladies in her group and invited them to hang out before going out. He later asked Jada if she’d give him Tee’la’s number. After getting the green light, Jada gave him her number.
Once their vacation was over, the two kept in touch and realized that even though they’d met across the country, he lived in Ohio and she lived in Pennsylvania. Only 4 hours away from each other. They also learned their daughter’s had the same name! She learned he is a social butterfly who loves going out, while she prefers falling asleep on “movie night” at home.
During the 4th of July holiday, her friend Tasha was visiting family and encouraged her to tag along and go see him. After that initial visit, they’d travel to see him frequently.
When the pandemic hit, he called her and asked her to come stay with him. He’d take care of her and her daughter, she’d never have to leave the house. Reluctantly, she obliged. He kept his word. The entire pandemic, he went to his essential job while she worked from his home, and got the girl’s logged on for remote learning everyday. He did all of the grocery shopping and errands needed outside of the home.
Saying goodbye after the pandemic was the hardest goodbye yet; prompting him to move to Pittsburgh October 10, 2020!
July 26, 2022 they welcomed their beautiful baby girl, Kynlee, into the world!
He proposed at a “Christmas party” with most of her friends and family on Christmas Eve 2023. As with any good story, the saga continues and the two will become man and wife on May 25, 2025!
