It was in a year of global pandemic, in a cyber world of online dating, that Nate and Tema found each other. After a friend convinced Nate to expand his search radius on Hinge, he discovered Tema’s profile, and changed their lives forever.

Nate: Hey Tema! This is going to sound crazy, but the first girl I ever had a crush on was a Korean girl in 2nd grade named Tema. We got married and had a little ceremony. I’ve never met another Tema. Also, love that you played Gollum in a stage adaptation of “The Hobbit.”

Tema: Hi Nate! Wow, that is crazy! Forgive me for asking, but did you two get divorced? Just want to clarify before we move forward with this relationship.

Their first date took place at the Bluffs in Santa Monica on October 1st, both wearing masks. After heart-warming conversations, cosmic connections and an innate kindness, they knew their love was special, and a second date was absolutely necessary.

After 3 years of love, laughter, tears and adventures, Nate proposed on a sunset lit beach on the anniversary of the day they met.
